We went to visit the lanterns at the Big World Theme Part at Ayer Keroh Melaka.The exact location of this park is situated right before the Macdonald Ayer Keroh. At night, if you travel from Melaka town towards the Ayer Keroh high way, you should able to spot some lanterns at your left before the Macdonald restaurant. Not difficuit to find.
Entrance fee is adult RM10 and childrens (age 3 to1 2) is RM5. On top of exhibition, there will be some shows such as acrobats and black magic. The show time is 8pm for weekdays and 5:30pm and 8pm for weekends. We went there around 8pm so after some nice shots with the lanterns we proceed for the show at 8:30pm as we were told the show only started at 8:30pm. Insider tips will be to visit before the shows as the shows take about 1 hour and 30minutes. Night visit should be more worth while for lantern visits. So, make sure to watch the show then it is worth while to spend for the entrance fee.
Oh yes, the exhibition and shows are presented from China, Shanghai. Surprisingly, the ladies in the show can sing and talk same malay language. They must have learn very hard.
Hong Zheng was so excited to visit the lanterns and as the result, we had hard time to snap photos with him. He was attracted by the animals sound came from the lanterns.
Personnaly, i think it is a good exposure to us especially the china acrobats and black magic. We usually see this in TV but today they come live to us in Melaka! Do not miss the show.
